Su Dongpo's first residence in Huizhou - Hejiang Building

Walking across the old bridge for crossing the river - Dongxin Bridge, on the right is the arcade of Shuidong Street and on the left is Hejiang Tower. Hejiang Tower is one of the six famous towers in Guangdong. According to historical records, it was the first place where Su Dongpo lived in Huizhou during the Song Dynasty. The ancient Hejiang Tower has been destroyed by war and time. The current building is a recent reconstruction at a different site.

Its architecture is unique🤗. Every pillar, eave, beam and wall are full of the charm of ancient Chinese architecture🥰. It is also colorful and magnificent. The appearance alone is enough to appreciate it. The 8 floors inside are free to visit, displaying various themed art works and specialties.
