Hunchun Travel Guide

Standing here, you are stepping on three countries. In Jilin, there is such a small town, which is a border city at the junction of China, Russia, and North Korea. It is not only the only direct passage from China to the Sea of Japan, but also the nearest point from China by water to the east coast of South Korea, the west coast of Japan, and Northern Europe and North America.
On the way to Fangchuan, there is a section of road that extends along the Tumen River. The road is very narrow on both sides, which is the narrowest piece of land in our country—the Yangguanping Road Embankment.
When visiting Hunchun, you must climb the [Longhu Pavilion] to see the borders of the three countries. Below Longhu Pavilion is a sunken square called Longhu Square. At the place where the steps go down, there is a wall called 'One Eye Sees Three Countries.' There is an elevator inside Longhu Pavilion, so you don't have to climb the stairs. The tenth floor is the best open-air viewing platform. Standing on the viewing platform, you can see the China-Russia Bridge, Russia's Khasan Town, and North Korea's Tumangang City. Longhu Pavilion is very close to the Sea of Japan, and you can see the Sea of Japan. The second floor is the Border Defense Culture Exhibition Hall, and the fourth floor is the Northeast Tiger Ecological Experience Hall.
[Oriental First Village] is a Korean folk village with a strong Korean style throughout the village. Because the village is very close to the Sea of Japan, seagulls often hover in the air. During the day, you can watch Korean singing and dancing, and at night you can see the musical fountain. There is a bonfire party on Saturday nights, which is much more lively than usual. There is no need to worry about food and accommodation in the folk village. It is also a good choice to stay for a night while playing.
Hunchun is located at the estuary of the Tumen River, close to the Sea of Japan. It has a temperate marine monsoon climate, with no extreme cold in winter and no extreme heat in summer.
