Fangchuan Scenic Area is located at the junction of China, North Korea, and Russia. It is the only scenic area in China that borders the Sea of Japan and is the closest place in China to the Sea of Japan and Japan. It is famous for its unique "three countries in one view" scenery.
To the east of Fangchuan is the Russian border town of Pogranichny, and to the southwest is the North Korean city of Namyang, across the Tumen River. These two cities are connected by a railway bridge over the Tumen River, which is the only link for land trade between Russia and North Korea.
