Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Staycation | Immerse Yourself in the Poetic Ease of Water Towns

| Immerse Yourself in the Poetic Ease of Water Towns. During holidays, modern workhorses from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai yearn for a place to unwind.
This time, I chose Huzhou Nanxun Station, just about a 40-minute high-speed train ride from Shanghai, to explore Nanxun Ancient Town—one of "China's Top Ten Charming Ancient Towns"—and fully immerse myself in the town's history and culture.

For convenience, the Four Points by Sheraton Huzhou Nanxun, located just 2.3 km from Nanxun Ancient Town, was an excellent choice for me. Plus, as part of the Marriott brand, it offers great value for money among branded hotels! 👍

🏨: Four Points by Sheraton Huzhou Nanxun
The hotel's exterior resembles a romantic French manor. My river-view room featured a spacious balcony with scenic views—just open the window to see the shimmering river. In the morning, I brewed a cup of coffee and sat by the railing, watching the trees on the opposite bank reflect on the water like a painting, with the air itself steeped in lazy poetry. The room's design blends minimalist and retro styles, offering both sophistication and coziness. Equipped with free high-speed Wi-Fi and a 55-inch LCD TV, I curled up on the sofa at night to watch movies, instantly recharged.

As the sunset glow spilled into the "Brew & Bites" restaurant, I ordered an elegant afternoon tea. The black tea recommended by the staff filled the air with its aroma as soon as it arrived. Sitting back on the outdoor sofa, I suddenly grasped the unique charm of Jiangnan—it’s not about hurried check-ins but about letting time linger amid the tea fragrance and dappled shadows, creating a slow, relaxed vibe.
