🌿【Huzhou 48-Hour Slow Travel Guide】This underrated Jiangnan small town hides the most poetic weekend✨
🚗 Transportation Tips
High-speed train direct to "Huzhou Station," only 20 minutes from Hangzhou! Attractions are concentrated in the city, taxis/shared electric scooters are very convenient, self-driving is even more recommended (the Deqing Moganshan section is super beautiful)
🏡 Accommodation Recommendations
▫️ Inside Nanxun Ancient Town: Recommended "Shangyuge" waterside guesthouse, open the window in the early morning to a river scene like an ink painting
▫️ Cost-effective in the city: Hotels near Yishang Street, 150+/night, food within walking distance
📸 Must-Visit Attractions
1️⃣ Nanxun Ancient Town (80 RMB entrance fee)
👉 More original than Wuzhen! Three must-do things:
Take a rowboat through the Hundred-Room Building (beautiful at dusk!)
Eat Shuangjiao noodles + Dingsheng cake
Night tour of Xiaolian Manor, the century-old garden under the lights is amazing
2️⃣ Taihu Moon Bay (Free)
👉 The "toilet lid" Sheraton hotel night view is a must-shoot! Recommended to watch the sunset at dusk, cycling along the lakeside trail is super healing
3️⃣ Moganshan (1 hour drive from the city)
👉 If you stay an extra day, you must go! Recommended "Yiyuan Farm" to feed lambs + "Yucun" artsy café
4️⃣ Yishang Street (a must for foodies!)
👉 Zhoushengji chicken feet, Ding Lianfang Qianzhang buns, Zhu Laoda zongzi... 30 RMB per person to eat until full!
🍜 Hidden Food List
✔ Lao Liang Dry Noodles: The best mixed noodles with pork intestines
✔ Xu Zhongliang Dingsheng Cake: Freshly made osmanthus lava cake, a must-buy souvenir
💡 Tips
▪️ Stay one night in Nanxun! At 7 am the ancient town has no tourists, perfect for exclusive photos
▪️ Visit Changxing in March-April to see the ten-mile ginkgo, November has the Nanxun Fish Soup Festival
▪️ Bring Hanfu! Perfect for photos in the ancient town and by Taihu Lake
This low-key "Silk Capital" is really perfect for a weekend escape~ Drink three-course tea in the ancient town in the early morning, daydream by Taihu Lake in the afternoon, this is the right way to enjoy Jiangnan!
