Horyu-ji is one of the world’s oldest wooden buildings, and I could feel the weight of history in its beams and pagoda. Knowing it dates back to the 7th century made walking through its grounds awe-inspiring. The temple complex is vast, with treasures of Buddhist art displayed in its galleries. The five-story pagoda stood gracefully, embodying centuries of faith. What struck me most was the sense of timelessness — a place where history hasn’t just been preserved, but continues to live. Horyu-ji is a true treasure of Japan. #mytraveldiary
