📍Intramuros
Intramuros, located in Manila, Philippines, is the old Spanish-ruled city known as the "walled city."
Built by the Spaniards in the 16th century, it flourished as Manila's political, religious, and economic center.
Thick stone walls surround the city for 4.5 km, once serving as a fortress to protect it from foreign enemies.
Although it is a walled city, the interior is very spacious and feels like just a town.
While in Southeast Asia, many buildings have a European feel, creating a very stylish streetscape. It was a fun walk around the city. ✨✨
With several historic buildings, including Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, and San Agustin Church, there's plenty to see.
There are also cafes and souvenir shops, making it a must-see spot when visiting Manila. 🧚
