Nagoya's Love Shrine for Matchmaking | Sanko Inari Shrine

#trip Family Outing Choice
Sanko Inari Shrine is the most popular shrine in Inuyama, famous for its "money laundering" experience and prayers for love and romance. This bright red shrine, though small, enshrines three deities. The main purpose of worship is to pray for wealth and love. There's a small torii gate before entering the shrine, perfect for photos 📸. The multiple red torii gates behind it lead to Inuyama Castle, another photogenic spot.

To pray for wealth, pay 100 yen to borrow a bamboo basket. First, pay homage to the deity, then douse banknotes and coins with water. Dry the washed coins and bills and place them back in your wallet as "money mother." Because the laundering area is limited, it's recommended to arrive early to avoid waiting. After laundering, don't forget to touch the toad in the pool to officially complete the laundering process. You can launder New Taiwan dollars or credit cards.

The shrine is filled with cute pink heart-shaped ema and fortune sticks. 💕 Originally the patron saint of Inuyama Castle, this shrine is now known as a love shrine, offering prayers for a happy marriage. It's also known for its promises of family safety and business prosperity.
