Happy Lamb Hot Pot – Toul Kork, Phnom Penh: A Standout Hotpot Experience

We had the pleasure of dining at Happy Lamb Hot Pot as part of our travel package, and it turned out to be one of the culinary highlights of the trip. In my personal opinion, this experience topped even more well-known hotpot chains like HDL—especially in terms of broth depth and ingredient quality.
Each diner had their own individual hotpot, which was a thoughtful touch for hygiene and convenience. I tried the chicken herbal soup and mala broth, both of which were rich in herbs and spices, yet not overpowering. The chicken soup was comforting and aromatic, while the mala had just the right amount of heat.
What really set the meal apart were the quality ingredients. According to our guide, the lamb is imported daily from Mongolia, and you could taste the freshness in every bite—tender, flavorful, and perfectly suited for hotpot. The beef slices were equally fresh and well-marbled. The presentation of the ingredients was meticulous, elevating the overall dining experience.
The restaurant itself was lively and welcoming, with many local patrons dining during our visit—a great sign of consistent quality and popularity. The space was well-designed and the atmosphere comfortable for both groups and couples.
While our meal was included in our package, I was told the average spend per person is around US$30. For the quality of the broths, meats, and overall ambiance, that feels like excellent value.
Verdict:
A fantastic hotpot experience that blends authentic flavors, premium ingredients, and thoughtful presentation. If you’re in Phnom Penh and craving hotpot, Happy Lamb is a must-try.
