Traveling through 3,000 years, I unexpectedly encountered Hebei's

Baishi Mountain | A one-day tour covering all the highlights|||Baishi Mountain in Laiyuan, Hebei is a 5A-level scenic area. "Zhangjiajie in the south, Baishi Mountain in the north" – with its jagged rocks and towering peaks, some of Baishi Mountain's landscapes do resemble those of Zhangjiajie. If you're lucky, you might even see a sea of clouds, making it a rare and spectacular sight in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Baishi Mountain has three main hiking routes:
1. Feihu Gorge (1,600m above sea level)
2. Shuangfeng Stone (1,900m above sea level)
3. Fuguang Peak (2,000m above sea level).

To visit all the highlights in one day, you'll need a good route plan. Here's our recommended itinerary:
East Gate → Xiangyunmen Cableway Station → Jiucai Garden → (Feihu Ridge Route) → Jiucai Garden Cableway Station → Cliffside Walkway → Nature's Corner Café → God of Taihang → Feiyunkou Cableway Station → Feiyunkou → (Shuangfeng Stone Route) → Mountain Oath Platform → Shuangxiong Glass Walkway → Fengyun Meeting Point → (Fuguang Peak Route) → Fuguang Peak → Sideways Cliff → (Shuangfeng Stone Route) → Little Cave Heaven → Jiucai Garden → East Gate (see Figure 18).

The advantage of this route is that it's mostly downhill, with only two uphill sections:
1. After God of Taihang to Feiyunkou (you can take the cableway here for ¥45/person – recommended as the climb is quite tiring)
2. From Fengyun Meeting Point to Fuguang Peak (about 30 minutes climb). If you're not up for it, you can continue along the Shuangfeng Stone route instead of climbing to Fuguang Peak. If skipping Fuguang Peak, we recommend walking toward Qingliang Terrace from Sky Mirror for similarly open views.

The entire route takes about 6 hours and is quite child-friendly with moderate difficulty.

Driving from Beijing takes about 2.5 hours, making a weekend day trip feasible (though a bit tiring for the driver). The stunning scenery of Baishi Mountain promises a uniquely rewarding weekend experience.
