Discovering Ipoh’s Concubine Lane: Desserts, Cafés & Hidden Gems

A visit to Ipoh is incomplete without exploring Concubine Lane, a charming street that mixes heritage with modern creativity. My day started at 粮家 (Liang Jia), a cozy dessert shop known for its delicious, local-inspired treats. The minimalist decor and beautifully crafted desserts made it the perfect spot to kick off the adventure.

Next, I visited BookXcess, a hidden gem located in a restored heritage building. Surrounded by books and rustic brick walls, it was a peaceful place to relax and unwind before continuing my journey.

The street itself is a photographer's dream, with vibrant murals, vintage shopfronts, and local snacks everywhere. After soaking in the sights, I ended my visit with a stop at Chloe Café. With its pastel interiors and relaxing atmosphere, it was the perfect place to enjoy a beautifully plated dessert and a coffee, wrapping up the day in the most delightful way.
