In Okinawa, shisa have long been beloved as guardian deities of the home.

It's said that male shisa with their mouths open attract happiness, while female shisa with their mouths closed ensure that happiness does not escape. 😊

Across the vast 33,000m² grounds, there are various shisa sculptures. 🤭

They're all quite unique and will make you chuckle. ♪

Creative shisa were on display and for sale in the Yonago Pottery Workshop storefront. 🙌
