Okinawa Kohama Island Summer Story - Day 2!

On the first day, I fell asleep around 11 PM and woke up at 4 AM. After spending about two hours, I watched the sunrise at 6:15 AM. Despite the weather forecast predicting a 50% chance of rain, the sky was clear. I called for a cart and headed to the beach to join the morning café.

Even though it was only 6:30 AM, the temperature was already 30°C, making it quite humid. I enjoyed a morning coffee by the beach, walked along the sandy shore, and embraced the morning with my whole body. I then moved to an outdoor terrace with a scenic view to continue enjoying the moment.

After about an hour of soaking in the beauty of the sea, I returned to my room for a shower and rested until 8 AM. A cart arrived on time to pick me up, and I headed to the restaurant for breakfast. At 9 AM, I returned to my room and relaxed on the bed.

The best part of a hotel staycation is lounging around by yourself. I prepared for checkout, and the final cart arrived to take me and my luggage. At the reception, I settled the bill for the meals I had over the two days and completed the checkout process. I then took a shuttle to Kohama Port.

At 11:10 AM, I boarded a ferry and arrived at Ishigaki Port 30 minutes later. I headed to a restaurant I had reserved through Hot Pepper. From 12 PM, I indulged in a 90-minute feast featuring three dishes paired with three types of drinks. The menu included sashimi, Ishigaki beef steak, sushi & tempura, and udon!

I received news that my flight would be delayed by 30 minutes. To pass the time, I visited Ishigaki Public Market for about 30 minutes. I arrived at Ishigaki Airport an hour before the adjusted departure time. Before leaving, I enjoyed a coffee at Japan's southwesternmost Starbucks. Thank you!
