Today, Istanbul is full of color and vitality. Amid the enchanting scenery of the Bosphorus Strait, I encountered the Royal Caribbean's 'Voyager of the Seas' cruise ship. This giant vessel, like a floating city, carries countless tourists across the blue ocean.
Constantinople, now known as Istanbul, has a long history and has witnessed the rise and fall of many civilizations. In 330 AD, Roman Emperor Constantine the Great made this city the capital of the Byzantine Empire and named it Constantinople. It was once a hub of trade between the East and West, earning the nickname 'The Crossroads of the World.' In 1453, the Ottoman Empire conquered the city, renamed it Istanbul, and made it the center of the empire. Today's Istanbul blends the ancient with the modern, where Eastern and Western cultures converge, making it a popular destination for tourists around the world.
