When I first started frequently traveling internationally, I had three requirements for my hotel: Is it safe? Is it clean? Is it convenient? As long as it met those standards, I wasn’t concerned about how it looked or if it was comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, etc. That worked for me as I am an avid solo traveler and I needed to keep my travels within a specific budget. Now that I am more familiar with how to find great travel deals and I understand how staying in high-end hotels can provide a different experience outside of the daily excursions, if I’m able to, I treat myself to the fullest extent.

Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul was the perfect choice for adding a touch of opulence to my Turkish expedition. Upon my arrival, the service was top tier from start to finish. From being upgraded to a better room with club lounge benefits, to receiving a birthday cake and card from the staff, to the wonderful dining options that fit my fine dining desires, and also the assistance granted by the hotel receptionist, I couldn’t have asked for anything more! The bed was AMAZING! The pool was gorgeous, honestly the entire hotel was mesmerizing.

I loved how there were touches of BLUE in many areas of the hotel (my birthday theme color). Needless to say, I’d highly recommend staying at the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul when visiting Turkey! ✨
