Solo trip to Türkiye | Searching for your favorite mosque 🕌②

📍Yeni Camii

Yeni Mosque is located in the Eminonu district, at the foot of the Galata Bridge.

It is not often featured in guidebooks or online information, but it has an outstanding presence, located right next to a large square past the Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar.

This mosque is also the first thing you see when traveling by boat from Eminonu Port, so tourists will see it without even thinking about it.

In the old town, there are the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, the two largest mosques in Istanbul, so it doesn't seem to attract much attention, but perhaps because of its location near the port, it is impressive to see the sea right behind the door.

The interior has high ceilings and is very spacious.
The beautiful design is based on the blue color that is representative of mosques.
It may seem inferior if you see Hagia Sophia or the Blue Mosque, but I think it is the only mosque where you can experience the sea and sea breeze through the doors and the historically important terrain of Istanbul through the mosque. If you get a little tired of the crowds at the Grand Bazaar or Egyptian Bazaar, it might be a good idea to visit to find some healing☺️

The fact that admission to the mosque is free is a nice point for tourists. One way to enjoy Istanbul is to go around the mosques while being considerate of those who are praying.
