In this final post, I'll share my experience visiting Istanbul's landmarks: Taksim Square, Galata Tower, and St. Anthony's Church.
⸻
🏙️ Taksim Square
Admission is approximately $26. Known as the meeting place for Istanbulites, Taksim Square is always bustling with energy. The Republic Monument stands in the center of the square, and the surrounding area is lined with cafes and shops, allowing me to observe the daily lives of locals up close.
⸻
⛪ St. Anthony of Padua Church
This church is just a short walk from Taksim Street. The magnificent Gothic facade and ornate stained glass windows are truly beautiful. The quiet atmosphere allowed me to take a moment to reflect and pray.
⸻
🗼 Galata Tower
If you want a bird's-eye view of Istanbul, the Galata Tower is the perfect spot. From the top, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Bosphorus and the Old City. Sunset is especially spectacular, as the city glows with golden light.
⸻
✨ The heart of Istanbul is a place where past and present coexist. The European atmosphere blends with vestiges of the Ottoman Empire, leaving a lasting impression.
