Tucked between Beşiktaş and Ortaköy, Yıldız Park is one of Istanbul’s most peaceful green spaces. Once part of the Ottoman palace gardens, it’s now a public park filled with pine and oak trees, colorful flower beds, and scenic walking trails. What makes this park special is its calm atmosphere, far away from the chaos of the city despite being in the heart of Istanbul.
I enjoyed wandering along the shaded paths and discovering small ponds, wooden bridges, and historic pavilions like Çadır Köşkü and Malta Köşkü, which now serve as cafés. They’re perfect spots to pause for Turkish tea with a view over the Bosphorus. The park is also a favorite for morning jogs, family picnics, and quiet photography sessions.
If you’re visiting Istanbul and need a place to relax, Yıldız Park is a wonderful choice. It combines nature, history, and breathtaking views in one serene setting.
