Okinawa War Memorial National Park - Learn about the horrors of war and reflect on the importance of peace

Okinawa Battlefield National Park is located in Itoman City in the southern part of Okinawa Island. It was the largest battlefield of the Battle of Okinawa during World War II.
The government established the Peace Memorial Park here in 1972. In the vast green space, memorial facilities such as the Memorial Hall, the Peace Cornerstone, the Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum, the Peace Memorial Hall, and the Okinawa National War Fallen Cemetery have been built.
This is a chance to remember the dead, pray for world peace, and learn about the process of Okinawa's post-war reconstruction!
This is my third visit to similar places after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Each time it makes me reflect deeply on the horror of war and the importance of world peace!
Tips: This place is very large, so it is recommended to prepare sunscreen and drinking water to avoid discomfort!

Address: 444 Mabunjin, Itoman City, Okinawa Prefecture
