Excited for Kyoto’s cherry blossom season next month...

I've visited Kyoto five times, twice during cherry blossom season 🌸. Let me share my vision of pink Kyoto with some reviews of cherry blossom viewing spots.

My top pick is the Bekkakutei ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, where rows of cherry trees bloom and cascade onto the grass, creating a stunning pink sea. The entrance is crowded, but as you walk further in, it becomes less crowded. There's also a viewing platform nearby for a panoramic view.

Daigoji Temple ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is recognized as Kyoto's top cherry blossom spot, featuring tall weeping cherry trees that look like pink waterfalls from afar, offering a unique charm.

Ninna-ji Temple ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is known for its late-blooming Yaezakura, which blooms 1-2 weeks later than other spots. The low cherry blossoms surround the courtyard, complementing the five-story pagoda and the eaves of the Golden Hall. It's close to Ryoanji Temple, making it perfect for a day trip.

Nijo Castle ⭐️⭐️⭐️ is best for viewing cherry blossoms at night, featuring the NAKED cherry blossom holographic projection light show. The cherry blossoms are average, but the light show is worth experiencing. April can be quite cold, so dress warmly at night.

Besides these places, the Philosopher's Path, Nanzen-ji Temple, Arashiyama, and Fushimi Jukkoku-bune are also great cherry blossom spots. Finally, I'd love to see Kyoto through your photo albums 🌸.
