Enjoying the Aewol Sea at Stanford Hotel & Resort

🏝️ If I had to choose the first place to stay in Jeju, it would definitely be somewhere near the Aewol coastal road where I could fully enjoy the view of the Aewol Sea.

🌳 That's why I decided on Stanford Hotel & Resort. It's not far from the airport and is located right on the Aewol coastal road, meeting all my criteria. You can check in via smartphone or at the front desk.

🌲 The check-in area wasn't very large but was charmingly decorated, and the staff were friendly. Since I wanted a sea view, I was assigned to the 3rd floor in the Aewol building, which is part of the resort-style complex with separate buildings.

🌴 Although there was no elevator, which meant carrying my luggage up the stairs, the moment I opened the curtains in the living room, I was amazed. The view of the Aewol Sea was stunning. That alone made me completely satisfied, as I could enjoy the sea view without even leaving the hotel.

🌳 The room was divided into a living room and bedroom, and it was larger than expected, making it very convenient to use. The bathroom had a central sink outside, making it easy to wash hands, and the shower and toilet were separated on either side, which was very practical.

🌲 The bathtub had a small window, allowing you to enjoy a partial sea view while soaking, and there was also a shower installed.

🌳 I booked a Deluxe Twin Room, which had two beds—one single and one double. Since there were two of us, one person could sprawl out comfortably. The bedding was soft and lightweight, making it easy to fall asleep. The beds were very comfortable, and the crisp, clean sheets were excellent.

🌲 The terrace was quite spacious, but it lacked chairs or tables. Although the sunlight was strong, I wished there had been chairs to sit and relax.

🌳 The resort complex was beautifully landscaped with palm trees and tropical plants. There were pool villas, three-story buildings, and various other structures.

🌲 Breakfast was reasonably priced and located on the 2nd floor of the check-in building. You had to drive back and forth, which was a bit inconvenient, but there were seats by the window with a sea view, making it a pleasant dining experience.

🌳 The menu wasn't extensive, but it was good value for a quick morning meal. There was a corner with cup noodles, and I noticed a shrimp noodle cup I'd never seen before. When I opened it, a staff member informed me it was not free and cost 2,500 KRW. Out of curiosity, I tried it, but the taste was just average.

🌲 After breakfast, it's nice to take a walk along the Aewol Sea. The sea is just across the road, so you can stroll along the coastal path to aid digestion.

🌳 I enjoyed my stay so much that I would definitely choose Stanford Hotel & Resort again the next time I visit Jeju.
