Joseon Dynasty Historical Tour

The Joseon Dynasty lasted for approximately 500 years and had a significant impact on Korea 🇰🇷.

The site where the Jeju Mok Government Office is currently located has been used as an administrative office since the Tamna Kingdom era (a period when Jeju was considered an independent state during its revival).

In 1991, 🪏 excavation investigations began, uncovering artifacts from the Tamna Kingdom, the Joseon Dynasty, and even the modern era. Detailed information about these findings is available through exhibits and 🎥 videos.

During the Joseon Dynasty, the buildings served as the central hub for local governance. Although they were damaged during the Japanese colonial period, restoration efforts began in December 2002.

As of June 2025, during my visit, one of the buildings was still under 👷♂️👷 construction.
