Filming Location of the Drama 'Welcome to Samdalli'

'Welcome to Samdalli' is a South Korean drama that aired about three years ago ๐Ÿ๏ธ, set against the backdrop of Jeju Island.

The drama gained popularity for its fresh and heartwarming stories, with the main character portrayed as working at ๐ŸŒค๏ธ the Meteorological Administration.

Filming took place at the Meteorological Administration in Jeju City ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ, and the interior of the administration building can be visited through prior reservation for indoor exhibitions โ˜€๏ธ.

Between the current Meteorological Administration and the former administration site lies the remains of Gongshinjeong Pavilion. Originally, Gongshinru Pavilion, built in Buksubgu, frequently collapsed due to flooding and was relocated to its current site. During the Japanese colonial era, it was converted into a shrine, but in October 1945, the year of liberation, young people from Geonip-dong demolished it. Now, only the site and ๐Ÿชจ foundation stones remain. The name 'Gongshinjeong' means 'looking towards the king in Hanyang,' and it was originally built facing north.
