Jeju Island

This is my 40th visit to Korea, and this time I came to Jeju Island alone!
My goal was to see the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

First, I'd like to see the Buddha statue, the symbol of Jeju Island.

These figures are scattered throughout the island, making them very cute, and various parts of the city are great photo spots.

*If you're coming to Jeju Island, I recommend taking a taxi or renting a car! There are no trains!

I chartered a taxi this time.
Prices vary depending on the company, but I hired someone who charged 160,000 won for four hours.
The price seemed a little higher because the driver spoke Japanese. I have a basic level of Korean, but I wanted to learn more about history, so I hired someone who spoke Japanese.

Due to time constraints, I was taken to Halla Mountain and Pijarim (비자림). Halla Mountain is a cultural heritage site, and the scenery was beautiful. I highly recommend it.

I think Pijarim is a very comfortable place for nature lovers. There were couples, but many people walking alone, so I think solo travelers can go there without worrying.
