🌿🏛️ Discover the Heart of Jeju’s Culture at the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum 🌋✨

#hellohalloween

Located in downtown Jeju City, the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum opened in 1984 and is Korea’s only museum dedicated to both the natural history and folk culture of Jeju Island.

Inside, the journey is divided into several insightful sections: the Natural History Hall explores Jeju’s volcanic origins, flora and fauna; Folklore Exhibition Hall I delves into traditional housing, regional food and rites of passage; Folklore Exhibition Hall II highlights the island’s famed Haenyeo (female divers), farming tools, and stone structures; and an Outdoor Exhibition tops it off.

The museum is a fantastic stop for families and curious travelers alike — whether you’re learning how Jeju was formed by fire and ocean, or discovering how its people have shaped a unique culture shaped by waves and lava. It’s educational, well-curated, and adds depth to any visit to the island.
