Exploring Jeonju Hanok Village!

Under the clear morning sky, the journey begins at the entrance of Hanok Village. If you follow this itinerary, you’ll be able to experience more than half of what Jeonju Hanok Village has to offer.

1. Start by drawing a fortune slip!

Location: Hanji-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea

At a small fortune-telling shop nestled in the alley leading to Gyeonggijeon Shrine, you can draw a tarot card or a simple traditional fortune slip. It’s a fun way to make a wish and feel the excitement of starting your trip!

2. Stroll through the Traditional Craft Exhibition Hall

Location: 15 Taejo-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do

Inside Hanok Village, there’s a charming craft exhibition hall where you can admire handmade Hanji (Korean traditional paper) items, ceramics, and Hanok-related crafts. You can even see handmade Hanji cards and pick out a perfect souvenir.

3. Feel the depth of tradition at the History Museum

Location: 17-10 Choi Myung-hee-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do

Near Gyeonggijeon Shrine, the Jeonju Hanok Village History Museum showcases how the Hanok Village was formed, the residential culture of the Joseon Dynasty, and the cultural flow that continues to the present day. It’s small and neat but provides enough insight into the key aspects.
