Shaxi – The Place of a Slow-Paced Life

We absolutely love Shaxi. It’s a great stop between Dali and Lijiang, and we booked a shared car to travel directly from Dali.

Shaxi is a small ancient town, and everything is within walking distance. There are plenty of charming B&Bs, and the food is delicious. We fell in love with a fish hot pot restaurant near the entrance. We also spend time visiting a house where the film “Go where the wind is” filmed.

If you have time, spend a night in Shaxi and enjoy the tranquility of the town in the late evening and early morning.#shaxiancienttown
