Stroll around beautiful Jianchuan Ancient Town

#discoverchina Jianchuan Ancient Town 剑川古城 stands out as the least commercialised of the ancient towns I’ve visited. I was truly amazed by how well its structures and architecture have been preserved. Unlike the bustling, overdeveloped areas of Lijiang and Dali Old Town, Jianchuan maintains an authentic, timeless charm. The town feels like a living snapshot of history, with each building reflecting the traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage of the region. My convoy understood why I skip Lijiang Ancient Town this trip.
