Hiking Fanjing Mountain in Tongren, Guizhou, is an unprecedented experience.

Route: Exit the cable car → Wooden plank path in the forest on the right → Mushroom Rock → Old Golden Summit → Red Cloud Golden Summit cable car downhill
Although the staircase from the cable car exit to Mushroom Rock consists of over a thousand steps, it's not steep and remains an easy climb.
To reach Old Golden Summit and Red Cloud Golden Summit, you must wear gloves and use your hands and feet to climb along narrow stone steps carved into the cliff face, using iron chains. Some sections are almost vertical and can only be navigated by one person.
However, reaching the summit is a profound feeling of accomplishment. Red Cloud Golden Summit and Old Golden Summit stand side by side, each commanding its own unique beauty. Standing at the summit, I marvel at the wonders of nature and truly admire the wisdom of the ancients. How was it possible to build temples on such a cliff?
