One-Day Tour of Mount Fanjing in Tongren, Guizhou

💚💖💛Mount Fanjing, located in Tongren City, Guizhou Province, is a national 5A-rated scenic spot, a national nature reserve, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I visited Mount Fanjing with a tour group in August 2024. While the temperature at the foot of the mountain was over 37 degrees Celsius, the summit was comfortably cool. The ticket price is 100 yuan per person, with various preferential policies available.

The one-day tour route is a loop, using the cable car for both ascent and descent. The main attractions along the way include Mushroom Rock, Cheng'en Temple, Old Golden Summit, and Red Cloud Golden Summit. Access to Red Cloud Golden Summit requires advance booking, and it's generally recommended to choose between Old Golden Summit and Red Cloud Golden Summit.

🌈Attraction Introduction🌈
Mushroom Rock
Mushroom Rock is one of Guizhou's iconic landmarks. Shaped like a mushroom, it's formed from layered rock left behind after weathering and erosion. It looks like something that flew down from the sky, or something that grew up from the earth, standing proudly on the mountaintop.

Red Cloud Golden Summit
Also known as New Golden Summit, it has an elevation of 2,336 meters. It's often surrounded by red clouds and auspicious air in the morning, and its name, which sounds similar to "Hongyun Jinding" (meaning "great luck golden summit"), carries the beautiful meaning of good fortune. The upper part of the Golden Summit is connected by a sky bridge, dividing it into two isolated peaks. The south peak houses the Sakyamuni Hall, dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha, while the north peak houses the Maitreya Hall, dedicated to Maitreya Buddha. This place is also known as the "Number One Peak Under Heaven."

Old Golden Summit
Mount Fanjing's Old Golden Summit has an elevation of 2,493 meters. On the Old Golden Summit is the Dipamkara Buddha Hall, dedicated to Dipamkara Buddha.

Cheng'en Temple
This is the main building of the temple complex on the summit of Mount Fanjing. It was rebuilt on the original site in 2009 and completed in 2011. It's a place of serenity and solemnity, filled with the fragrance of burning incense.💙💜❤️
