📍Location and surroundings

The hotel is adjacent to Jinan Olympic Sports Center and close to the elevated exit of Jingshi East Road, with extremely convenient transportation. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Olympic Sports Center, making it very convenient for watching concerts or events. This is why many celebrities choose to stay here when they come to Jinan for concerts. The design of the Olympic Sports Center "East Lotus West Willow" is very local. The main hall is 45.5 meters high and the span of the cable-supported dome structure is 122 meters, ranking first in the world. The surrounding petals of different sizes, the round roof and the annex form a lotus shape, just like a lotus emerging from the water. At 7 o'clock every night, the Olympic Sports Center starts a light show. The combination of lights and images is dreamy and shocking.

The overall facilities are rated 4.5. The hotel lobby has a ceiling height of more than ten meters, giving it a strong sense of space and fully demonstrating the grandeur of a super luxurious five-star hotel at the time. However, the guest room facilities are a bit old-fashioned. They are decorated in a typical old-cadre style from 20 years ago, with mahogany furniture, khaki marble bathroom tiles, carpets and old-fashioned fabric sofas. Although the materials are luxurious, the style is old-fashioned. There are many thoughtful little signs in the guest rooms, which add a lot of convenience. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the room face the Olympic Sports Center stadium, with an excellent view. The lounge is on the 22nd floor. During happy hour, it offers a variety of dishes such as fish, shrimp, clams, and cream chicken. The quality is very high. Two people can eat until they are full. The view is also great, with a full view of the stadium. The business hours are until 8pm.

The sanitation is good, with a score of 4.7. The room is clean and tidy. However, there is a problem of odor returning from the sewer, which affects the experience to a certain extent. The sound insulation is pretty good, so you won't be disturbed too much when you rest.

We discussed in advance about upgrading from a king-size bed to an executive city view room, which is a standard upgrade. The layout of the room is relatively conventional, the bedroom is spacious, but the furniture is a bit crowded. The bathroom space is reasonable, with dry and wet areas separated.

💗Other tips

1. The CI process at the front desk during check-in was generally smooth and the service was standard. As a Titanium card member, I received welcome fruit.
2. The hotel has 4 restaurants with different styles. Shengyan Buffet Western Restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner; Caiyuexuan Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Shandong cuisine and Cantonese cuisine; Yari Restaurant offers special Japanese cuisine and exquisite teppanyaki. The quality of breakfast is very good, with many Jinan specialties, as well as steamed pork with rice. After breakfast, you basically don't need to go out to experience Jinan cuisine.
3. The hotel has a unique sunken garden-style outdoor swimming pool, which is very suitable for taking photos and spending time with children.
4. Parking lot: Guests can park for free and get a one-day license authorization upon check-in. Parking is easy, but there are no charging stations.
5. The air conditioning in the guest room has poor cooling effect. It was too hot to sleep at night, and I had to ask the front desk for a fan to relieve the problem.

The hotel's price of 500 yuan, plus the high-quality lounge and rich breakfast, is a good deal for Q1. However, the problems of air conditioning cooling and bathroom odor affect the staying experience. If these problems can be solved, it will be a very good choice.
