Yulin Jingbian County Danxia Landform

This is Jingbian County, Yulin, Shaanxi, located in the Shaan-Gan-Ning Basin. The climate is dry, and I also encountered strong winds and sandstorm weather. There is the famous Wave Valley Danxia Scenic Area here, but I didn’t go because of the entrance fee (later I found out I could enter for free).

Anywhere by the roadside is Danxia landform, where you can park and take photos for free. Along the way, you can see the Great Wall ruins, which are just a very long row of earthen walls. To the north is the Mu Us Desert, where you can play freely without any entrance fee or scenic area. The seemingly desolate desert is actually full of various forms of life. If you observe carefully, it’s very interesting and you can always find fun little things, though your ears get full of sand, which is not very pleasant.

Overall, except for Wave Valley, the other places here are relatively off the beaten path, giving you the feeling of having the scenery all to yourself.
