Having traveled to many famous mountains around the world, Cangyan Mountain has now firmly secured a spot in my top three. A 1400-year-old ancient temple built on a cliff, truly breathtaking. It combines grandeur, uniqueness, beauty, danger, and serenity, making it one of China's three major hanging temples.
I took photos mimicking screenshots from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," satisfying my acting bug, haha~ When I watched the movie as a child, I only felt that the story of Luo Xiaohu and Yu Jiaolong was far removed from me, but I did fantasize about becoming a female knight-errant, roaming the world with a sword. Now that I've come to the filming location, I suddenly feel that the martial arts heroes and heroines on screen are so close to where I live, which is both wonderful and heartwarming.
What moved me the most was the couplet in front of the Hall of Heavenly Kings: "No lamps in front of the hall, relying on moonlight; the mountain gate unlocked, awaiting cloud cover." No flowery language, yet it carries a serene poetic charm. This mountain is perfect for someone like me who enjoys a simple and carefree life. I'll definitely come again on a sunny day~
