"An ancient village without walls" in Fuzhou, Jiangxi

Jinxi County, Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province is known as an ancient village without walls!

Zhuqiao Village is located in the north of Jinxi County, Jiangxi Province, 12 kilometers away from the county seat. There are 206 households and 820 people in the village. Zhuqiao Ancient Village was built in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, and it is more than 800 years old. There are 5 well-preserved ancient ancestral halls, 4 ancient gatehouses, 3 ancient wells, and 109 ancient houses from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the village. It can be called a microcosm of agricultural civilization in southern my country.

The straight-line distance between Dafang Dutch Creative Village and Zhuqiao Ancient Village is only 1.5 kilometers. In August 2019, artists from the Netherlands came here one after another and created a series of distinctive works of art in the idle old houses in the village, making Dafang Village a place where new and old buildings are combined, and a model of the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.
