Heyang Ancient Village (合阳古镇) - Jinyun

Getting There - Travel from Shanghai to Lishui city is possible by train and takes around 3-4 hours depending on what train you take. Train tickets vary in price but a 2nd class seat will cost approximately 170-220RMB.

Heyang Ancient Village is 60km (40mile) drive from Lishui and takes around an hour. Arranging a private driver is relatively easy and can be done through most hotels.

We hired a driver for the entire day which cost around 1000RMB, shared between 4 people, and was very comfortable and convenient. Heyang Ancient Village was one of several places visited

Attractions: The village has a history of over 1000 years and has maintained its beautiful traditional architecture. Most of the buildings are around 200 years old and the village is very much a living relic.

The highlight of Heyang is simply wondering around and getting lost in the quaint alleyways and courtyard houses.

Food & Restaurants - They are several local spots where food is available. The main dishes are wontons (馄饨) and flatbreads with scallions or a bit of pork (烧饼).
