Day two was a mess! My plans were packed!
We started the day early, heading to a famous noodle shop. We chose to walk from our hotel to the shop because we wanted to see the city in the morning. It wasn't too hot, so it was a comfortable walk. The noodles here were incredibly delicious. If only they were a little salty, they were fragrant, soft, and small. The price was good. It's a local style place, and we shared a table with others. There's no English menu, so we had to point and ask the Vietnamese guy who shared the table with us. 🤣
After the savory meal, we headed for dessert. Let's go to Little Hanoi Egg Coffee, a cafe famous for its egg coffee. It's truly delicious and smooth. I was like, "Whoa, how did that go together?" It's incredibly delicious. Go try it, everyone! They have several branches!
After recharging, let's gain some knowledge. From the cafe, we continued to the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Art Museum. They have art from almost every genre. There are several buildings and exhibitions to explore. The entrance fee is reasonable, but there's no air conditioning, so it can be a bit hot.
After visiting the museum, it was almost noon. It's time to eat! 🤣 Bánh Xèo 46A, a restaurant I followed from TikTok, but I'm not a huge fan of. Never mind, I'll move on.
Just a short walk from the Thai pancake shop, we arrived at Cộng Cà Phê at the beginning of the alley. This shop has a famous coconut coffee (or maybe I followed it from TikTok? 🤣). It's a bit too sweet, so it's probably still a good place to chill in the air conditioning and enjoy the church view, since it's right across from the pink Tan Dinh Church. It's a two-for-one experience!
After admiring the view and taking photos, we continued on to the Vietnam Historical Museum. We went during renovations, so we didn't get to see everything, but I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot about history. No matter what country you visit, you have to visit a museum.
We managed to time ourselves well without rushing around, leaving early, during off-peak hours, so we avoided the crowds. Then we walked back to Ben Thanh Market, bought some snacks and souvenirs, and then took them back to the hotel.
We had an evening appointment because we had booked a motorbike tour around the city. So we had to hurry back, and it started to rain. That's it! The tour was so much fun. The guide was lovely and friendly. It was so much fun. I highly recommend trying it if you come to Vietnam. He took us to many of the places on the evening tour program, ate street food, and showed us around. It was so much fun.
