Current Status of Jiuzhaigou Colorful Forest

October to November 🍂 is the colorful forest season in Jiuzhaigou, the most beautiful time of the year. These days, the visitor count is basically over 40,000, mostly elderly tour groups.
🌟If you want to avoid the bustling elderly groups, you can follow this route:
👉Get off at Nuorilang Center, walk to Nuorilang Waterfall, and there is a viewing platform opposite for a panoramic view.
👉Take the bus from Nuorilang Waterfall station to Five Flower Lake (the essence of Jiuzhaigou).
👉Take the bus to Pearl Shoal and Waterfall (filming location of Journey to the West), then stroll along the plank road to Mirror Lake.
👉After visiting Mirror Lake, hike back to Nuorilang Waterfall. Note that the trail entrance is quite hidden, so carefully check the signboards.

After visiting these spots, it will be around lunchtime. You can dine and rest at Nuorilang Center before heading to the left line.
👉Take the bus to Chang Hai, it is recommended to explore via the lower trail.
👉After visiting Five Color Pool, take the bus back to Nuorilang, then take the bus to Sparkling Lake.
👉After visiting Sparkling Lake, go up to Shuzheng Waterfall, Tiger Lake, and Rhino Lake.

👉Return to Nuorilang. If time is tight, head back; if you have more time, take the bus to the right branch of the "Y" route to the Primeval Forest, and if time permits, visit Grass Lake, Swan Lake, etc. (This route skips some common spots to make the visit more relaxed.)

💡Note: Although Huanglong Jiuzhaigou Station is close to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Scenic Areas, a shuttle bus transfer is required.
It is about 90 km from Jiuzhaigou (1h40min by car) and about 26 km from Huanglong (0.5h by car).
😏If you want a more convenient and flexible trip from Huanglong Jiuzhaigou Station to Jiuzhaigou or from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou, 👉it is recommended to choose a private car.
