My first disappointing Sheraton experience in recent years ☠️
Swayed by my unhealthy obsession with new hotels, I decided to take the plunge and booked this new Sheraton for our family quick hop. 🥲
Plenty of alarming reviews and real-life warning from a friend peppered my mind prior to the stay and I was half thinking “cannot be that bad correct?” 🙈
So the hardware was definitely nice with everything new lobby, club lounge, rooms. My Premier Twin room was very spacious and had the modern Sheraton touches all around which was appreciated. While spotless, we noticed the toilet sink being jammed up each time we used, the bathroom flooded after a shower, and housekeeping didn’t refill our Nespresso pods at turn down (if there was one?) 🏩
Sheraton Club on level 5 was the most disappointing part of the stay - I mean at MYR950++ per night for a club room, the space was lovely indeed BUT the F&B offerings were were sadly lackluster during evening cocktails - the team were clearly not prepared for the speed at which the food flew off the shelves which meant empty plates remained so for a long time. The lovely space had inadequate seating which meant guests who arrived 30mins into the session were standing around waiting. Not a pretty sight. 💢
And for a Sheraton, only offering 1x white and 1x red (no beers, no spirits etc) and only available via ordering from the staff (ie no self servic) was such a let down at this price point. 💸
I mean if you want to throttle the offerings, then throttle the price as well?
Location was bad as the SKS Mall was not even opened ( next Jan 2026 according to the staff) so guests have to Grab everywhere 🚕
My advice? Wait until it steps up to Sheraton standards and spend your money elsewhere for now!
