Spring in Joshua Tree is surreal and serene. The desert comes alive with blooming cacti, bright yellow brittlebush, and clusters of Joshua tree flowers. I hiked Hidden Valley under perfect blue skies and mild temps, surrounded by giant boulders and twisted trees. The peacefulness here is unreal — no crowds, just birdsong and the occasional lizard.
