The Museo-Biblioteca de Filipi

The Museo-Biblioteca de Filipinas, which was founded on August 12, 1887, by a Royal Order of the Spanish Government, was the forerunner of the National Museum of the Philippines. However, it was disbanded in 1900 as the American occupatinn of the Philippines began. The Insular Museum of Ethnology, Natural History, and Commerce, which opened on October 29, 1901, is regarded as the National Museum's direct forerunner.
