Kotohira Mountain features 785 steps to the Main Shrine and an incredible 1,368 stone steps to the Inner Shrine🫣🪨.

Reaching the Inner Shrine is quite challenging, but the fresh mountain air and the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the top make it absolutely worth it🫶.

Along the way, you can encounter a white horse, admire the magnificent Main Shrine, and enjoy the scenery, making the journey feel surprisingly quick🎶.

By the way, there are souvenir shops along the path to Kotohira Mountain that offer free walking stick rentals, so be sure to take advantage of them🙆♀️✨✨.

On your way back, you can enjoy local gourmet treats and street food at the base🤍.
