Opened in 1972, Pingchuan Animal Park covers a total area of 314,000 square meters and is a natural animal park surrounded by trees, housing about 130 species and more than 900 animals.
The entrance to Hirakawa Zoo is very characteristic, a rainbow arch. Entering the main entrance, the first thing you see is the Africa Park with the panoramic view of Sakurajima Volcano and Jinjiang Bay as the background. The tall and cute giraffes are really eye-catching.
Koalas are also the star here, with the largest number of koalas in Japan. In addition, the most unforgettable thing is to see the white peacock, and more rarely open the screen, really feel extremely lucky oh!
There is also a foot bath hot spring in the park. While overlooking the Sakurajima volcano and viewing various animals, it is a great pleasure to use the heat of the hot spring to eliminate the fatigue of your journey.
