Kagoshima Prefectural Historical Materials Center Reimeikan

Reimeikan is a museum where you can see four different aspects of Kagoshima, prehistory, ancient times, the Middle Ages, early modern times, and modern times, all at once.
There is a dedicated parking lot, but it takes about a 5-minute walk. There are plenty of things you can see for free here, such as a statue of Princess Atsuhime and a garden!
