[Kagoshima] Starbucks Coffee Kagoshima Senganen store

This is a Starbucks that was renovated from the former Serigano Shimazu Gold Mine, a registered tangible cultural property.

It is a special Starbucks store, positioned as a store that spreads local culture to the world.

It is a wonderful initiative that makes use of the historic building.

I visited at 9am on a weekday.

The store was empty and the weather was nice, so I was able to sit at a seat on the second floor where I could see Sakurajima.

📍This is a popular store, so it seems to be very crowded.

It opens from 8am, so it is recommended to go early on a weekday.

The neighboring Sengan-en is about 100m away, so if you go there together, you can efficiently sightsee.
