Sakurajima is one of the most famous active volcanoes in Kyushu, Japan. The other one is Aso Volcano, the hometown of Kumamoto Kumamoto Exhibition. It is definitely a must-see attraction in Kagoshima and Kumamoto!

It is very simple to get to Sakurajima Volcano. You can take a boat to the island from the boat pier in the city. There are boats every 15 minutes, and then take a special sightseeing bus for a tour, which takes about half a day.

It’s the rainy season now, and we all know that it’s difficult to see Sakurajima volcano from a distance, but since it’s a rare opportunity to come, we really have to check in and take a picture, because we don’t know when the next time will be! Fortunately, the kids all vaguely saw the image of the volcano, so the trip was worth it 🥹The Northeast penguins were blown to the point of collapse by the wind 🤣The volcano goblins on the boat were so cute, and the volcanic ash ice cream on the island is really recommended to be omitted 🤣

I spent the rainy season in Kagoshima in a relaxed and enjoyable way. I met two friends from Hong Kong on the boat and collected a lot of information about Miyazaki, which was quite useful. 😙
