Visit an active volcano up close🌋

Before traveling to Kagoshima, I went to visit the must-visit Sakurajima volcano. It's rare that an active volcano 🌋 is so close to residential buildings, it feels quite special 😆

Introduction: Sakurajima is an active volcano, with small volcanic eruptions almost every day🧐 The most special thing is that this volcano is only 4 kilometers away from the city, basically closely related to life in Kagoshima, with many tourists and residents traveling between the two places every day⛴️

Highlights of the visit
1. Sakurajima Visitor Center: It is recommended to go to the visitor center to basic knowledge of the history and state of Sakurajima, and there are volcano-related souvenirs purchased 😀

2. Kirishima Jinjiang Bay National Park: Outside the visitor center is a 101-meter-long natural foot soup, local residents called the volcano's grace, tourists can take a break to soak their feet ☺️ The cats living in the area 🐱 will come over to get close to the tourists 🤣

3. Observatory and Trail: The Observatory is located on a small lava hill that flowed out of the Sakurajima eruption in 1946. Walking along the trail all the way up, you can see the crater up close, and there are different volcanic rock installations, very spectacular😃

Transportation: Although Sakurajima has the word "island", it is not an independent island, but connected to Kagoshima land, tourists can drive to the island, but more people will choose to take the Sakurajima ferry to the island, because you can by the way see Sakura Island and the entire Kagoshima panoramic 😊 Ferry ⛴️ 24 hours, about 15 minutes to arrive, adults 200 yen each way 🙂
