When I came to Kagoshima, I was deeply attracted by the city’s unique natural scenery and food culture. First, I headed to the famous Sakurajima volcano, an active volcano that is the iconic attraction of Kagoshima. From different angles, I captured the stunning views of the volcano, its slopes covered with lush vegetation and the peaceful bay in the distance. At the Sakurajima Visitor Center, I saw signs detailing the history of the volcano, making the trip both humbling and informative. The tranquil gardens surrounding the visitor center and the faint smoke on the top of the volcano make people feel the charm of nature.
After admiring the volcanic landscape, I went to a local restaurant and tasted the famous Kagoshima Wagyu beef. This restaurant is located at 123 Showa Street, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The environment is full of traditional Japanese style, and the wooden decorations and warm lighting create a comfortable atmosphere. The meal is a feast for the eyes and the palate: beautifully presented thin-sliced wagyu beef, fresh sushi topped with nori, steaming bowls of miso soup, and a variety of side dishes like pickled vegetables and rice. The rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavor of Wagyu beef is unforgettable, and paired with the restaurant's meticulous cooking, it perfectly showcases the essence of Kagoshima's cuisine.
Kagoshima is truly a tourist destination that combines nature and gourmet food! I highly recommend visiting Sakurajima to enjoy the volcano and this restaurant to try the local specialties. This trip brought me a lot of memories and satisfied taste buds! 🌋🍱
