📍Spot Information

#KanayamaBridge
A stone bridge built over the Kanayama Road, which transported gold ore and supplies from the mine to Kajiki Port. It is said to have been built around 1880 by the Shimazu family for the management of the gold mine. You can go down to the river and see the waterfall over the arched bridge.

#Arimura Lava Observatory
You can see Sakurajima's lava flow up close.
The lava flow, formed from the solidified lava that flowed out from the great Sakurajima eruption in 1914, spreads out all over the place.
From the observation deck, you can enjoy spectacular views of Kinko Bay and Kaimon-dake.

#Sugawara Shrine Arahira Tenjin
A shrine in Kanoya City on the Osumi Peninsula where the god of learning, Sugawara Michizane, is enshrined.
This is a rare shrine where the sandy approach leads to a small rocky area jutting out into the sea.
At high tide during spring tides, it becomes an island in the sea, and at low tide, a sandbar appears, allowing you to walk to worship there. It shows different appearances depending on the time of day.

#Sogi Falls
The Kawauchi River and its tributaries flow through the center of the Okuchi Basin, and in the southwest of the city, it becomes "Sogi Falls" and flows into Tsuruta Dam.
This waterfall, with its towering strange rocks, is 210 meters wide and 12 meters high, and has a large amount of water, making it spectacular.
