[Kagoshima] My favorite spots on my trip to Kagoshima

Kagoshima is a wonderful place, with delicious food and abundant nature. 🍃

Nishi-Oyama Station 🚉
Nishi-Oyama Station is known as the southernmost JR station in Japan! You can see Mt. Kaimon directly in front of you. 🎶

Sakurajima
This active volcano, consisting of the Kita-dake and Minami-dake mountains, is a rare sight in the world, still emitting smoke and ash.

You can get to Sakurajima by ferry 🛳️

Sand Bath
When you think of Ibusuki, you think of sand baths ♨️
There aren't many places offering them, so I went to a sand bath at a ryokan called Hakusuikan 😊
I sweated a lot and felt so refreshed 💦

Kirishima Shrine ⛩️
This is another very famous shrine.
Its magnificent shrine buildings are designated as a National Treasure of Japan, and its venerable history, deeply connected to the myth of the descent of the heavenly grandson, and its various blessings, such as national peace, business prosperity, and family harmony, are said to be of great benefit.
It seems especially popular during the autumn foliage season. 🍁
