Stepping into the Gen Palace Buddha Kingdom, I felt as if I had traveled to a parallel universe built from tree roots. This is not an ordinary scenic spot but the world's largest root carving hall, where every piece tells the truth of "turning decay into magic." 🌳
>> Five Hundred Arhats Corridor, Witnessing the Perfect Fusion of Roots and Buddha
Walking into the Arhat Corridor, I was completely amazed! The five hundred Arhats each have different postures; some glare fiercely, others have kind and gentle expressions, and every face is vivid and lifelike. The most amazing part is that these statues are carved entirely based on the natural shapes of tree roots, with flowing folds of robes and muscle textures all naturally formed by the growth marks of the roots. Standing in the center of the corridor and looking around, it feels like being surrounded by a thousand years of wisdom. 🙏
>> Future Buddha Hall, Gazing Up at the World's Largest Wonder
The 28-meter-tall Future Buddha Maitreya made my neck sore from looking up! This world's largest root carving Buddha statue weighs over 40 tons and is carved from the natural form of a thousand-year-old golden camphor root. When sunlight pours in from the top of the hall, the entire Buddha glows with a warm golden light, and the solemnity and compassion make all visitors unconsciously walk softly and lower their voices.
>> Root Soul Buddha Fate, Feeling Zen in the Garden
Strolling through the Jiangnan garden-style scenic area, surprises are everywhere. Various root carvings are placed among small bridges and flowing water, some resembling phoenixes spreading their wings, others like dragons emerging from water. Resting in the tea room, looking through the carved wooden window at the courtyard scene, I suddenly understood what "one flower, one world; one tree, one fleeting life" means.
